The Pay Every Day Derby was founded by fishermen for fishermen to give every trout and salmon fisherman on Lake Ontario a chance to win $'s everyday all season long, whether you are a charter captain, charter customer, fishing pro, or just a weekend guy out for fun.
P.E.D.D.’s founder Dr. Robert J. Fisher has been fishing on Lake Ontario since 1968. In the early 70’s he and longtime friend Dick Schlyer (founder of the ESLO Derby) used to take trips to Lake Michigan to fish and at the time there were no stock salmon in the lake. Dr. Bob and many others signed a petition to the state of NY to get salmon stocked in the lake. Dr. Robert Fisher has over 40 years of successful business experience and is an avid sportsman.

P.E.D.D.’s guarantee is simple: we will pay out up to $1,000 a day everyday to the largest qualifying trout or salmon caught on the lake and weighed in at an authorized weigh station. (Product may be added in addition to cash.) Many of you may ask what if the lake is too rough or the fishing is terrible. Well that’s NO problem! In the event the lake is so rough that no qualifying fish is caught, half the money for that day will be rolled over to the following day and will continue to do so until a winning fish is caught. Also the charter captain who's boat catches the largest fish of the month will receive a $1000 prize. (The captain's prize will be effective when 1700 registrants are met.)  We have also decided to offer a 2 day pass instead of a 1 day pass in the event you get blown off the lake for your day 1. We will also have a largest fish of the month prize. (Check rules for the last word on any item.)

Once you register for the tourney all you need is a valid ID and social security number to claim your prize if over $600.  Our accounting department will collect this information from you for tax purposes when you win. (Note that if  2 people split the prize then the amount paid out is up to $500 each and no social security number is required until you win a second time) . In this time of financial insecurity, what an awesome opportunity to get paid to do what you love to do fish! As the old proverb goes feed a man a fish and you will always have to feed him. P.S. The will also be special prizes for the largest fish of the month and the largest fish of the month caught on a licensed charter captain's boat.  Captains are not required to be registered in the derby to in the Captain's prize, all they are required to do is to provide PEDD with a valid Captain's license! Captains are only required to register for the derby if they wish to receive daily prizes. If they wish to split the daily prizes with their first mate they must also be registered prior to the catch. PEDD will not issue any checks to unregistered parties.
